I joined one after shoulder ...Well, I LOVE the gym. I joined one after shoulder surgery six years ago. I go twice a week. I find classes are better for me because of the competitive angle. If left to my own devices, I don't work very hard. I do spin circuits, total tone (also known as total torture with weights), spin again, and thai bo. I'm nearly 48 and have the pulse of someone half my age (though I do still jiggle a bit). I have gym buddies I've met through my classes, and I trained with one of them for a 5K run in June.
