As promised, welcome to the Fitness link. (Otherwise known as the Let's Get our Act Together page). Or, as I prefer to look at it - Babes "R" Us. We were all Babes once. Maybe you still are now. I personally have slid just a tad south of my babedom, but wouldn't mind getting a portion of it back. At the very least I want to halt the slide, although I'm not really sure how much lower I could go, unless the slide leads directly into a volcanic pit.
My own approach to this is fourfold. First, I want to lose weight. Second, I want to improve my fitness. Third, I want to be more healthy in my food choices (most of the time). And Fourth, I want to achieve some balance between the first three. Because here's my problem - I can do feast and I can do famine, but I struggle like crazy with moderation.
So...if you want to join in you're welcome to. On the sidebar is a place where it says Click here if you want to participate in Babes "R" Us. We can use the comments section of this post as a forum and take it from there.
Because I could sure use the support.

tote that bale
Well, this is going to be an early post, and a quick one at that, as I have a line behind me of kids who have all left their homework until the last minute. And what do they get as penance for this? They get to sit and cool their jets while I blog. See what you get for procrastinating, boys?
I did want to let you all in on the earth shattering news, however. After months of agonizing and rationalizing and debating all the pros and cons I've finally made a decision. Angels will sing and the media will herald the news.
Today I'm joining a gym.
I've finally gotten fed up with looking like the Stay Puft Marshmallow man. Actually that isn't totally true. I'm relatively fit. It's hard to not be when you have a job where you walk an average of eight miles in a twelve hour shift. It's the jiggling and wiggling that's getting to me.
So in an attempt to Stop the Jiggle, I'm going to start exercising again. And eating right. And all those other really fun things. Ugh. I want ice cream just thinking about it.
I'm counting on you guys to keep me honest. I haven't figured out how yet, but I'll think of something.
And now back to the regularly scheduled (but tape delayed) homework.
