I like fireworks well enough.
But with spoiled canines freaking out and cowering at the noise, we tend to stay home when fireworks are going off. I have my own personal fireworks when three big furry babies all try to climb in my lap at once. The Rulers of our Household do not care for this particular holiday.

You're not on your own I don't like them either! The pictures are nice though. :)
I agree. A bang a fizzle, a few colourful sparkles and that's it - apart from your purse being considerably lighter. Pah. Grumble groan.
Misery guts Mya x
I agree.
My old dog used to be terrified of them, so we spent bonfire night playing loud music to block out the sound, and hugging a shakey old brown furbag.
Can't they make hem without the noise??
I had two cats (both passed away last year), and neither of them liked particularly loud sounds. But it's much easier to deal with a 14 pound cat crawling under the bed than a big bounding dog! We didn't make it out to the fireworks this year, husband has to be at work at 4 a.m. and The Four Year Old is just too cranky to stay up late. Come to think of it, I'm too cranky to stay up late, too.
I love fireworks!! I don't love crowds, but the two tend to go together. We went to a minor league game recently and they had fireworks there. Yea! We were covered for this year. We will not be going out ronight since we are leaving at 4:30 a.m. tomorrow for the airport!!! Oh, how I will miss keeping up with the blogs while we are away. Maybe we'll get to use the internet at a couple of stops.
akelamalu- I thought the pics would be a good substitute for the real thing.
mya - Misery guts? Is the demon not GONE??
Jo - In three words - old brown furbag - you've summed up all of my dogs. How did you know?
Jen - I'm too cranky to do anything myself. Why is this?
My two cents - Have a FABULOUS time and check in when you can. Give your mom a big wet one for me!
