I had high hopes of actually sitting down and writing something interesting tonight, but I don't see it happening. My brand new Netflix account is finally straightened out and I have a pile of movies to watch. My mom sent me home from LA with a bunch of great yarn and there's a big container of Mint Chip ice cream in the freezer. And I'm off work tomorrow, so I can even sleep in if I stay up too late.
I think my evening is spoken for.

Mmmmm. Mint chip, my favorite. That picture looks delicious. What are you watching?
Hallelujah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can come to my place and play with bubble wrap. That's how I entertained myself tonight-virtual bubble wrap. There was yarn involved too. I'd show you a picture of the socks I finished but, I no longer have a camera at my disposal.
Mmm...sounds heavenly.
Wow RC, I took off for a few days and Reading back see you have been living the pampered life of a princess, as usual.
As mint chip and yarn are two of my favorite indulgences, I am convinced that we are soul mates. As you described your son's personality, I am convinced he is my daughters soul mate... hail Mary full of grace. If I were catholic I would pull out my Rosary and drop to my knees right now!
hmmmm. looks a lot like saturday night for marrieds, too. only we don't use yarn.
Sounds like the perfect night......enjoy!
Well, RC, sounds like a night for marrieds as well. I watched the Olympics, had a glass of wine...and called it a day. The ice cream should have been on my list. Hope you enjoyed it and it was peaceful. I think you could use that now.
Okay, I'm making a confession. I never made it to the yarn or the movie. (I hadn't realized that the movies that came were all movies I had picked for the kids. Dang. Although one of them did have Johnny Depp. Hmmm.)I did make it to the mint chip though. A big ol' bowl of it.
I sat in my bed and reread one of my favorite Caroline Grahams (Death of a Hollow Man) and fell asleep at 11.
Life is good.
We had a evening quite like you did! I have never given your blog on and wont. Yours is the only one I read. Now that I know the rules I will abide by them!!! KC Ginny
Even without a movie it sounds like you had an evening of peace and quiet and that is probably what you needed.
You knit! I knew I liked you for some very good reasons! Now one more! Hooray!
OOHHH! That picture makes me wish I was single. Most likely because my husband would've already eaten the half gallon before I got a chance to sit down.
And how many of the movies had Hugh Grant in them?
This single is doing Edy's pineapple/coconut and watching all four episodes of The Impressionists with the lovely Richard Armitage as Monet tonight.
What did you watch with your mint choc chip? And, don't you just love Netflix--instant gratification!
