Okay, I obviously have too much time on my hands - not- but I stumbled across this and had to do it. It's a computerized Sorting Hat that asks you a whole slew of questions and then tells you which house you'd be in. The questions go really fast, so don't worry that it takes up a lot of time. (My computer is on good behavior mode at the moment, on the subject of worry. It will wait until my husband goes out of town next week to die completely).
This quiz is an eye opener. I have been convinced, along with most of the world I think, that I would be in Gryffindoor. Of course. If I had to pick a second choice it would have been Ravenclaw. So when I took the test the first time I didn't believe it and took it again. Nope. Same result. Who knew?
The sorting hat says that I belong in Hufflepuff!
Said Hufflepuff, "I'll teach the lot, and treat them just the same."
Hufflepuff students are friendly, fair-minded, modest, and hard-working. A well-known member was Cedric Digory, who represented Hogwarts in the most recent Triwizard Tournament.
Take the most scientific Harry Potter Quiz ever created.
Anyone else want to give it a shot and see what they come up with? (This is their blurb above, by the way). I'm working today, but would love to see other matches when I get home tonight. I thought it was very funny at the Harry Potter party July 20th when we all drew houses out of the bookstore's Sorting Hat. It was heavily stacked in Gryffindoor's favor and that was the house that we all got. All except Surfer Dude. Slytherin for him, sayeth the hat.
That's one smart Sorting Hat.

I came out in Ravenclaw, but my scores were really close with Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. I only came out with Ravenclaw a few points ahead of the others. I wonder what that means?
Hi RC.
I'm a Hufflepuff too which is fine by me.
Glad you had a good holiday.
We had a fab time but my site exploded while I was away soI'm doing a mini blog over on my virb account till it gets mended.
I'm off to do some washing now.
We literally just got in so I'm zonked.
x
It appears I'm a Hufflepuff as well. My scores were:
Gryffindor 80
Ravenclaw 75
Hufflepuff 81
Slytherin 67
Very nearly in Harry Potter's house...
I'm a Ravenclaw, which is good. I'm basically a chicken at heart and love the studying.
Boy, when you start to get into the books, you really jump in with both feet. I'm forcing husband, Charles, to listen to them on CD as we drive to work together. We're just about to finish book 3, which has taken 2 years.
Okay, I feel a little better. I was imagining a world full of Gryffindoors...and me. My scores weren't even really close I don't think.
jen- It means you're smart, diligent and courageous. Doesn't that sound good?
jo - so glad you had fab fun. I miss your blog and can't wait until you're up and running again. Damn technology. My computer had a little nervous breakdown yesterday and my blood pressure is still not the same. I think I may have dependency issues.
dumdad - WOW, that was close. Can I say (out of pure self interest) how happy I am for the Hufflepuff company?
diana - In addition to my computer dependency issues I have some OCD type things duking it out too. I seriously hope they never turn on each other.
hey--sorry to invade your blog with an answer about mine, but i wasn't sure you'd check back.
here's the URL to that riley video. for some reason, youtube imbeds haven't been working on safari lately--at least, not for me.
riley up a tree
Sorry it took us all day to complete this! It was 7:45 p.m. before I could even get on the computer...sigh.
The fifteen-year-olds were both Hufflepuff, as was I. I was close to Ravenclaw and Gryffindor as well, and Slytherin was WAY behind, whew! The other two were solidly Hufflepuff--not close to any other house.
Glad to be in Hufflepuff with such good company as you and Jo. Have your kids sorted themselves yet? We are interested where they fall.
Hi
I came out as Ravenclaw.
good post
Poetessxxx
I'm Hufflepuff too.
Wow, it's a Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw convention. Why did I know there were no Slytherins in our bunch?
Haven't sorted my kids yet, as I can't seem to get them to sit still long enough...but I will!
