Here's the Saturday Night Line-up:
a Valentine's Day gift from my dear friend Susan
crisp and chilled
a rainy night, cold and blustery
Sasquatch at a friend's house, Gumby upstairs with a sleeping over friend, Surfer Dude out cold wrapped in a fuzzy blanket
and an on-demand movie I've been holding off on seeing, waiting for a rainy day
I've always said that if Hugh Grant can't make it better it isn't fixable.
No pressure, Hugh.

substitute ciaran hinds for hugh grant, and i'll be there in five minutes.
i'll even bring an extra bottle of wine.
I hope you had a lovely evening with all that! How did you like the movie?
Sounds like your Saturday night's going better than mine!
i OWN this movie! the girls and i went to see it in the theaters and loved it. it doesn't hurt that drew barrymore is one of my favorites. hugh's pretty hot in this movie, btw. :)
Our nights sound remarkably similar: We are going to watch Eizabeth, See's in hand, and tea instead of wine, but we decided that it if was warm enough to bbq burgers for dinner, it might not be the ideal night for a fire...Enjoy. XO
Hmm, chocolate and wine*, two triggers for migraine, just add the Film Geek and you've got yourself a trifecta!
(*yes I know, it should be red wine)
Sounds wonderful!!!Keep warm and enjoy! Love
I really like light little romantic comedies every once in a while! Add chocolate, fire, and wine? I'm with you!
Like all the pieces of your perfect Saturday night RC, except I'd sub several episodes of Lionel and Jean in "As Time Goes By".
loved that movie...I hope you do too.
happy weekend.
love, love, loved that movie.
I'm a bit worried, rc, much as I like Hugh, I'm really not convinced he could fix a four piece jigsaw ...
but it's a great film, hope you enjoyed it x
Sounds wonderful, except I'd be having tea instead of wine, and I would have to sneak in some ice cream at some point.
I might watch something old and romantic, like Casablanca or Notorious, or something with Hugh Grant like Sense and Sensibility.
And the fire and fuzzy blanket are a must.
Sounds like a perfect evening to me! :)
Now that's a Valentine's Day spent right. (Although I'd quibble over white wine with chocolate and go with a rich zinfindel or even a nice port. But then there'd be a bottle for each and no fighting over the last glass, so Cheers!)
how are you today, RC? chocolate hangover?
Well, it didn't turn out quite the way I planned. Wine, chocolate, fire and fuzzy blanket all went according to plan. But the FG reminded me that we still had Michael Clayton so we watched that instead.
Not the most upbeat film I've ever seen, but you can't argue with the eye candy.
I ejoyed that one - I'm another Hugh fan!
Sounds like a perfect evening except for old Pooh Grunt. I did love him at one time and then saw him in an interview and he was obnoxious. So, replace him with Hugh Jackman and I'm in!
You really know how to set yourself up for a disappointment...
(but that's just to do with my opinion of Hugh Grant)
i like your blog am adding it to mine!! You are witty and charming and a little grit too!! I love it!!
Ahhh, hope it did the trick young lady.
The man and I watched Music and Lyrics a couple of months ago. Even though it's totally predictable, it's still fun. Especially with the chocolates, wine and warmth. Too bad you didn't get to see it. Another day. It's great to see Hugh Grant aging. He doesn't look so much like a little boy. Definitely all man.
Sounds like you had a great evening! I love those kinds of nights.
I loved that movie. Of course, I am hardly objective, being both a big Hugh fan and a Drew fan since E.T.
I bet you'll like it.
Sounds like the perfect evening :)
