FINALLY! After two weeks of weather delays...today they played.
And not really so worth the wait either. Gumby was up first in a 9:00 game and they got handed their shorts, 6-3. Then Surfer Dude played at 10:45 and they lost by one goal, 3-2. Always a pleasure to see siblings at their best. Gumby was rooting for the other team because he couldn’t stand the thought that his brother could actually win when he himself had lost. Because we had to be there half an hour early for the first game, we’ve just spent three and a half hours on a very windswept field. We’re all covered in grit, starving and cranky. The Film Geek is out of town and we’re off to eat Chinese. Whee…!
