thanks for clearing that up for me

My plan was to post something tonight, but I've been informed by my sixteen year old son that no one can understand anything I say - in any way, at any point or anyhow.

Well. I guess that takes care of that idea.

Ahhh, maybe one day he will speak adult. In the meantime it is a good thing you are bilingual.

Your French is really good. Why not discuss the issues of the day with him in that language until he agrees that he can make some progress with your English. Teenagers!!!!!!

I will teach you Dutch and you will make complete sense, I'll make sure of it. That ought to silence him.

hah! I guess he has passed the 2 grunts and a sigh stage of teenage language then? Otherwise how did you understand him?
I get told the same thing sometimes, and sometimes it's true... sometimes I realise I don't want to be too clear - maybe I'm not really clear exactly what I want myself... so I'm unclear just in case I need to be clear later. or something.

Aaah, you don't do grunts and shrugs then? :)

LOL!! Now, you just have to send him a text message, like the others said...or grunt in his general direction.
